Pennsylvania Title Transfer Checklist
To successfully complete a vehicle title transfer in Pennsylvania, please make sure you arrive fully prepared. Incomplete or missing documentation will delay the process and may result in the need to return another day.

Be in line by 5:45 PM
Have all required documentation and parties present
If you do not meet these conditions, we will not be able to serve you that day.
What You Need for a Title Transfer:
1 - The Original Vehicle Title
Must be the current, physical title. (not a copy)
No alterations, erasures, or white-out.
All lienholders must be released. (if applicable)
2 - All Current Owners Must Be Present
All individuals listed on the current title must be present to sign.
Valid, physical government-issued IDs required. (driver's license, state ID, etc.)
3 - The Buyer Must Be Present
The new owner must be present to sign and provide identification.
4 - Valid Photo ID for All Parties
IDs must not be expired.
Must match the names printed on the documents.
5 - Proof of Pennsylvania Insurance
Must be current and in the buyer's name.
Can be a printed or digital copy from an insurer licensed in Pennsylvania.
6 - Odometer Reading
Required for most vehicles under 10 years old.
Must be accurately recorded at the time of sale.
7 - Form of Payment
We accept cash, debit/credit cards, and money orders.
We also accept Affirm, Afterpay or Klarna, upon approval.
Fees vary depending on the transaction—call ahead if you need an estimate.
8 - MV-41 Form (If Applicable)
Required for some trucks, trailers, or motor homes if weight, body type, or other specifications need to be corrected. Print one here and have it verified by a police officer or mechanic.
