How It Works

  1. Select Your Service

    • Visit our in-store location and tell our associate which service you need: title transfer, license renewal, or any of our in-store offerings.

    • Provide the required documents (vehicle information, ID, proof of insurance, etc.).

    • Our team gives you a total cost estimate on the spot.

  2. Choose Your Buy Now, Pay Later Option

    • Enter the amount you would like to make payments on.

    • You’ll be redirected to a brief checkout form hosted by that provider—enter a few basic details (name, date of birth, address, last four digits of your SSN).

  3. Get Approved (Usually Instantly)

    • Each provider performs a fast credit check or soft inquiry.

    • If approved, you’ll see your payment schedule (for example, 4 equal payments every two weeks with Afterpay, or 3-6-12 month plans with Affirm).

    • If declined, no worries—you can choose a different provider or pay with cash, credit, or debit.

  4. Complete Your Transaction

    • Once approved, the provider pays Northeast Title & Tag in full.

    • We finish processing your title transfer, license renewal, or other service.

    • You leave with your receipt and schedule of payments—now it’s between you and Klarna/Affirm/Afterpay for customer service.
